Smoke in one of the train trainers No. 11312 Hassan-Solapur Express scared the passengers on Monday morning.
Smoke entered the coach at 5.45 hours when the train passed through the village of Martur on the edge of Kalaburagagi. Pointsman noticed this and immediately signaled the stopping of the train.
According to the sources, thick smoke from the fourth coach radiated.
This usually occurs when the brake binding does not completely drain from the wheels, causing friction and heat as the train moves, leading to smoke.
The train was stopped and thoroughly checked and allowed to continue. Smoke was caused by brake binding and there is no reason to worry, sources said.
