Jayanti Express’s passengers joined the Kanyakumari-Pune Jayanti Express on Sunday after the forces from one of the AC coaches eliminated strong smoke while passing through the Nandalur Station in the Annamaya district in the Renigunta-Guntakal section.
According to information, the smoke was recorded under the B2 AC coach when the train negotiated a curve. This led to panic among passengers who immediately handed over information about the train guard, after which the train was suddenly stopped at the Nandalur station. Technical teams threw themselves into the place and carried out the inspections. The crew corrected a hitch that was credited with friction in the brake system. After a thorough security check, the train continued their way with less delay.
