Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) came on Monday intense cleaning drive of all Skywalka throughout the city. Of the total of 81 Skywalks in the city, a total of 77 Skywalks were cleaned on Monday.
Cleaning included staircases, pedestrian decks, elevators, posters glued to structures and removal of waste and dust from the surrounding areas of Skywalks.
“The public is invited to maintain cleanliness when using Skywalks. Citizens are asked not to solve, spit, hold posters or destroy plastic covers and bottles in these areas. Skywalks cleanliness is a collective responsibility and public cooperation is essential.”
