Skywalk proposed along Raidurg-T-Hub stretch to improve pedestrian safety in Cyberabad

February 3, 2026

The civic authorities have proposed construction of a skywalk along the Raidurg-T-Hub stretch in Cyberabad to improve pedestrian safety, patency and traffic flow in one of the busiest IT corridors in the city.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh conducted a field inspection of the proposed layout along with senior police and traffic officials. The proposed skywalk is planned from Raidurg metro station via IKEA flyover and IOCL junction to T-Hub.

Officials said the inspection focused on identifying at-risk pedestrian zones and traffic jams in the high-density corridor, which sees a heavy impact of metro commuters, office goers and commercial mall visitors. The objective of the proposed facility is to provide a continuous and safe network of pedestrians through sidewalks and tunnels while facilitating the movement of vehicles. Authorities estimate that the project could reduce traffic congestion along the stretch by nearly 30%.

The proposal is being developed with the support of the Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) in coordination with many private stakeholders. As part of Phase I, a 500-meter-long skywalk was designed. Plans are also in the works for a 400-metre long underpass connecting T-Hub to Mindspace C-Gate to improve last-mile connectivity.

The proposals are to be submitted to the state government through the Industrial Area Local Authority (IALA) and the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC). Further expansion into nearby office clusters is also being considered. Plans are expected to be finalized soon at a convergence meeting with industry representatives and officials from civic and government departments. The project is proposed to be taken up in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode under the auspices of SCSC, with regular reviews involving GHMC, TGIIC and IALA.

Kukatpally DCP Ritiraj, Serilingampally Traffic DCP Ranjan Ratan Kumar, Madhapur Traffic DCP Sai Kumar, Traffic ADCP Hanumantha Rao, Madhapur Traffic ACP Chandrasekhar Reddy, Madhapur Traffic Inspector Sridhar Kumar and Raidurgam Paffic In attended the spot inspection. Representatives of SCSC and corporate stakeholders including Raheja Mindspace COO Shrawan Gone, Sattva Peeyush Aggarwal, Divyasree’s Anurag and Phoenix Group’s Srikanth Badiga were also present, along with SCSC CEO Naved Khan.
