Skin and hair procedures by dentists, unauthorized treatments without qualified dermatologists marked in Hyderabad

Skin and hair treatments allegedly offered without qualified dermatologists, aesthetic procedures (related to skin and hair) performed by dentists and online consultations provided without proper clinical registration were among the irregularities uncovered by the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) on Wednesday (June 10, 2026) during inspections at several clinics in Hyderabad.

According to the Council, Neoskin Clinic offered skin and hair treatments without the presence of a qualified dermatologist and without obtaining the necessary permits from the relevant authorities. Ora Aesthetics was found to be performing aesthetic skin and hair procedures by dentists, raising concerns about scope of practice and regulatory compliance.

The council also found that Traya Hairloss Solutions was offering hair loss treatments through online consultations without proper clinical registration and without qualified dermatologists.

Based on the findings, TGMC said it will initiate proceedings against the affected entities under Sections 34 and 54 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 and other relevant provisions of the Act.

Registered doctors found to be aiding, abetting or conniving in such unauthorized and unethical practices could face disciplinary action under medical ethics regulations, they added.

The board also said it will recommend to the Hyderabad District Collector and the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) that the facilities engaged in unauthorized medical activities be sealed and appropriate legal action be initiated against the management concerned in the interest of public health and patient safety.
