
A group of six women allegedly absconded with cash and gold ornaments from an apartment complex in Yeshwanthpur on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Golden Apartment complex. According to the police, the women came to the apartment pretending to be sellers of artificial jewelry. Security initially denied them access. However, while four of the women engaged the guard in conversation and distracted him, two others allegedly slipped in unnoticed.
The duo allegedly entered the house located near the security room on the ground floor and took around ₹40,000 in cash and gold ornaments. The accused fled the scene shortly after the theft. The entire act was captured by CCTV cameras installed in the apartment complex.
The police registered the case and started a search for the accused based on the footage of the camera system. Officials urged residents and security personnel to remain vigilant about unknown visitors.
