SCR said six more special trains will run from Cherlapalli towards Yalahanku and Shalimar on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to cope with the rush of passengers.
Train No. 017187 Cherlapalli to Yelahanka will depart on December 8 at 10 PM, Train No. 07188 Yelehanka to Cherlapalli will depart on December 9 at 1 PM, Train No. 07148 Cherlapalli to Shalimar will depart on December 8 at 9:35 PM and Train No. 912 Cherlipal 17 will depart on December 8 at 914. the afternoon of December 10.
Train No. 07021 Cherlapalli to H. Nizamuddin departs at 9:45 PM on December 8th, Train No. 07022 H. Nizamuddin to Cherlapalli departs at 4:00 AM on December 10th. Train No. 07085 Hyderabad to Kottayam departs at 21:50 at 19:08 Train No. 08 at 19:50 on December 10 at 7:45.
These are special trains that run in view of the chaos in air travel in recent days. Earlier on Saturday, the zonal railways had run special trains to Shalimar, Chennai, Mumbai and other destinations, providing transport to about 4,000 passengers. This is in addition to special trains moving from Bengaluru and other places towards Pune, Kolkata and Nizamuddin which touch at Kacheguda, Vijayawayada and Dharmavaram stations in the zone, an official spokesperson said.
New train
SCR announced that the Railway Board has approved the introduction of a weekly service — Train No. 17425/17426 Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi-Tirupati (via Guntur, Secunderabad, Vikarabad, C Sambhajinagar) — with effect from December 14 starting from Tirupati.
Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting and Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw will announce a new express train between Tirupati and Sainagar Shirdi Express on December 9 at 10 am. as the inaugural run via video conferencing. The service from Tirupati will then be on Tuesday and from Sainagar Shirdi on Friday.
The express train will pass through Gudur, Guntur, Secunderabad, Vikarabad and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar stations, which will be immensely beneficial to rail users in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. The train provides fast, safe and comfortable train travel for both reserved and non-reserved passenger segments using state-of-the-art LHB coaches, namely two AC II classes, 10 sleeper class and four second class general coaches, a press release said.
