Red Sandalwood officials tied six smugglers and on Monday (September 8, 2025) confiscated 36 red sandalwood protocols, van and motorcycle in the Cherlli district in the Tirupati district in the Tirupati district.
According to the Action Plan of RSASTF L. Subbaure and SP P. Srinivas, the team including RI including RI including RI including RI including Ri Giridir and RSI Lingadar performed honorary operations led by DSP MD. Shareef in the forest region of Cherlopalli.
During the operation, officials noticed few vehicles parked near Aravind Eye Hospital on Alipiri in the Cherlli Forest Beat. However, people in the vehicles tried to escape after seeing the RSASTF team, but were caught.
During the inspection of vehicles, officials found 27 Red Santal’s protocols and another nine in the area, which was estimated to be around 60 Lakh. Three of the arrests were identified as the inhabitants of the Kattigehalli in Karnataka, while three others came from the districts of Annamayya, Chittoor and Nellore.
They were arrested at the Tirupati RSASTF police station along with records and vehicles with red sandalwood. DSP V. Srinivasulu Reddy and ACF J. Srinivas questioned them and or Sutesh Kumar registered this case.
