
At least six people were injured, one of them seriously, when a TGSRTC bus fell from a bridge into a dry creek bed at Shyampur village in the tribal heartland of Utnoor mandal in Adilabad district on Monday morning.
According to sources, the accident occurred when the driver of an Asifabad-bound TGSRTC bus lost control of the vehicle while exiting a narrow bridge near Shyamapur at 7:00 am. Around six passengers in the bus, including the conductor, sustained multiple injuries in the crash.
The injured persons were taken to the Government Hospital in Utnoor. About 30 passengers, mainly civil servants, were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident. But the locals blamed the narrow bridge without guardrails for the accident. TGSRTC officials visited the accident site to ascertain the exact cause of the bus accident.
