
At least six passengers were injured, one of them seriously, when a TGSRTC bus fell from a bridge into a dry stream bed at Shyampur village in the tribal heartland of Utnoor mandal in Adilabad district on Monday (February 23, 2026) morning.
The accident occurred when the driver of an Asifabad-bound TGSRTC bus lost control of the vehicle while crossing a narrow bridge without a guard wall near Shyamapur around 8 am.
In the accident, about six passengers in the public transport vehicle and also the bus conductor suffered multiple injuries.
The injured persons were taken to the Government Hospital in Utnoor.
About 25 passengers were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident.
However, locals blamed the accident on a narrow bridge without a protective wall.
