
At least six people died and six others suffered injuries in the Himachal Pradesh district, after a rolled tree on commuting near the popular gurdware in Manicaran, the official said on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 16:15 on the road opposite the manicaran Sahib Gurdware in Kull. Three men and three women were killed.
“Six people died after the tree that was on the cliff fell on people who walked or stood on the road down. Along with the uprooted tree, the debris downhill also fell,” said Vikas Shukla, sub-divisive judge, Hindu.
The District Administration moved six injured persons to the hospital in Jari for medical treatment and rescue and auxiliary operations were underway, said Mr. Shukla.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed deep grief over the extinction of six people and ordered the district administration to expand all possible assistance to victims and their families. He also ordered officers to ensure the best medical treatment of the injured.
