Another CEO (ADDR DGP-LAW and Order) N. Madhusudhan Reddy practically inaugurated workshops organized by AP Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL).
Mr. Reddy, together with the director of APFSL G. Pala Raju, on Monday, presented six -day workshops throughout the state from the AP Police Directorate in Mangalagiri.
The first day was attended by the police, the prosecutor’s office and forensic doctors of all districts.
On this occasion, addl. DGP said that under the new criminal laws, doctors would send medical reports and related records directly to the courts, which would help in rapid liquidation of cases.
Mr. Pala Raju introduced under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS), forensic experts were commissioned to collect evidence in crime scenes for crimes at least seven years in prison.
“Investigative officers should have a thorough knowledge of protecting the crime scene, collecting evidence, protection and other procedures that help achieve accurate results,” he said.
IGS, DIGS, Superintendent of Police, Forensic doctors, FSL experts and investigative officers participated in inauguration.
