Members of the family of five arrested police staff organized a protest outside the Thirupuvanam police station on Tuesday.
After the arrest of five police staff of a special team on Monday, who were responsible for the death of the guard B. Ajith Kumar of Madapuram Badrakaliamman Temple, their family members organized a protest Dharna outside the police station.
They blamed higher police officials of ordering their partial turnover to investigate and to issue the truth at all costs, but when the problem appeared, officials could not stand up to their colleagues.
The family members said that six police staff who were suspended, performed their duties according to their officials’ instructions.
“If we knew that compliance with the instructions of higher officials would end them in prison, we would force them to end them,” they said.
Police officials spoke to protesters of the family and made them dispersed from the place.
