
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is on Thursday probing the alleged multi-crore liquor scam at the grill of former managing director (MD) of AP State Beverages Corporation Limited (APSBCL) D. Vasudev Reddy.
Investigating officers questioned Mr. Vasudev Reddy, who was also the Liquor and Beverage Commissioner, regarding the change in liquor policy, cash sales, collusion with other accused including owners of shell companies, some public representatives and bureaucrats and other accused in the fraud.
The IRTS officer, who is accused in liquor scam No. 2, has been questioned at the SIT office, police said.
The accused is said to have caused huge loss to the government. Police have so far identified 51 accused, of whom 16 have been arrested, SIT officials said.
