
A special investigation team (SIT) investigating the death of a 23 -year -old woman in Kothamangalam arrested his parents and a friend of the key accused in this case. Rahimon Yousuf, 47 years old, from Toppil, Panayikulam and his wife Abdul Sahad, both Ramez’s parents who were re -transported, and his friend Abdul Sahad, 25.
The trio was arrested on Monday morning from the cottage near Salem in Tamil Nadu. Bharatiya nyaya Sanhit was accused of 108 (linked to suicide), the policeman said. The police were supposed to get Rameez in custody for further questioning.
Rameez and his parents were named in a comment allegedly written victim, which was found dead in her house in Kothamangalam on August 9. Rameez was arrested on the basis of certain accusations in the note, the day after the death of the woman.
The SIT was set up after the police had put pressure because the relative of the victims and the right -wing political parties claimed that a woman had been a victim of an attempt at a violent religious transformation. Rameez was booked under section 69 Bharatiya nyaya Sanhit (BNS) (sexual intercourse by misleading means, etc.), 108 (follow -up to suicide) and 115 (voluntarily cause injury).
