A total of 3,21,229 enumeration forms have been distributed in Ernakulam district as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls within four days of the commencement of the exercise on November 4, 2025.
The forms have been distributed to 12.11% of the total voters in the district as on October 27, 2025, District Collector G. Priyanka said here on Friday (November 7, 2025). The Collector described the exercise as a simple process and urged the public to actively participate.
Kunnathunad Assembly Constituency stands first in form distribution with 17.15%. Booth Level Officials (BLOs) distributed forms to 32,556 out of a total of 1,89,881 voters in the constituency. Angamaly is second with 16.41% (29,508 out of 1,79,808), followed by Aluva with 15.19% (30,607 out of 2,01,483). Ernakulam Assembly segment is at the bottom of the list with just 7.61%. The BLOs there distributed forms to 12,650 out of 1,66,283 voters in the constituency.
The Collector said that the district administration aims to expedite the distribution of the forms in the coming days. “All the BLOs will be at the ground on Saturday and Sunday as we expect people to be at home during the weekend. The aim is to distribute the forms to as many people as possible within two days. I request everyone’s cooperation, especially residents’ associations and housing societies, to complete the procedures,” Ms. Priyanka told the media at the collectorate.
The district administration has deployed a total of 2,325 BLOs to implement SIR procedures. They must distribute the forms to all existing voters and get them back by December 4th.
The Collector said the BLOs were trying to collect the filled forms on the same day in areas where availability is a problem, while in other places they would return later to get them. “The BLOs have been instructed to visit the house three times if the residents are initially unavailable. There is no need to submit any document with the filled form,” she said. Deputy Collector (Elections) Sunil Mathew was present.
