Singer-Musician Zateen Garg died due to drowning in swimming from the Singapore Island and not during diving, as mentioned earlier, the news reports on Thursday (October 2, 2025).
Garg, based in Assam, which was in Singapore for the 60th year of India-Singapore Diplomatic Relations and to celebrate India ASEAN year of tourism, North East India Festival, died September 19.
The Singapore Police Forces (SPF) said they had extended the copy of the report, along with its preliminary findings on Garg’s death to the Indian High Commission of India, and at his request the Straits Times reported.
The Indian High Commission says the report has received. According to the source, the report states that Garg died due to drowning.
SPF previously ruled out the foul game at the death of a 52 -year -old singer.

SPF recommended public members in Singapore not to share any videos or pictures related to Garg’s death.

Meanwhile, Garg’s manager Siddhartha Sharma and the organizer of the Shhyamcan festival Mahanta were arrested on Wednesday from Delhi in connection with the death of the singer, the Assam police said. They were transported to Guwahati, where the chief judge Kamrup transferred them to a 14 -day police link.
The duo was booked under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS) for a favable murder that did not concern murder, criminal plot and causing death, the manager said.
Meanwhile, Zateen’s wife Garima Saikia Garg, who is in Jorhat on the 13th day of the rituals of the “manglickol Karya” of the deceased singer, told reporters that she was happy that the duo was brought to Assam because we all waited for him to happen in his last moments. ”
