Singareni Collieries Company LTD (SCCL) set a modest target of 16 million tonnes of coal in the first quarter of 2025-26. He also decided to pass the OpenCast proceedings and the underground mine to women, starting with the operation of one shift purely with female workers.
At a meeting with the general managers of the area who held on Saturday practically from Hyderabad, chairman and CEO of the coal company N. Balaram, he said it was decided to remove at least 120 million cubic meters in the April period.
According to the company officials, coal was 16.71 million tons in the first quarter of 2024-25, and in 2023-24 it was 17.1 million tonnes. The total production achieved in 2024-25 was 69 million tonnes and a year ago it was 70 million tonnes.
In April (2025-26), the company could benefit 4.99 million tonnes of coal and send 5.81 million tons against 5.48 million tonnes and 5.66 million tons, in 2024-25. CMD said that this April 2024 in April 2024 increased by 2.7%in April 2024.
Similarly, the removal of overload in April was 10.6% higher compared to April last year, because this year 40 million cubic meters of meters were removed in April last year compared to 36.18 million cubic meters.
He ordered the authorities to select the supervisory staff needed for the coal block of Odisha with a plan to place them there in a month. He also wanted the authorities to publish most of the new employees in underground mines.
He warned the authorities of compromising on the quality of coal sent and stated that this would affect sales and departing consumers.
