On Wednesday (May 7, 2025), the main Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis described the strike as a historical moment and stated that the operation is a decisive new phase in the Indian struggle against terrorism. “India has once again shown that this is a new India that will no longer tolerate terrorist attacks,” said Mr. Fadnavis. He added that it was the first time that such an accuracy was carried out on Pakistani soil, a coordinated operation without escalating. “Sindoor operations have revealed those who focused on our sisters,” he said, referring to civilians killed in an attack by Pahalgam.
Representative of the main Minister EKNATH Shinde repeated this sentiment and praised the Indian Army and the Navy for their strikes. Mr. Shinde attributed the leadership of Prime Minister Narendry Modi for the unification of the nation and for the collection of international support against terrorism. “India clearly communicated with the world and laid a bare role in Pakistan in the support of terrorism,” he added.
Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), including opposition parties in the Mahari, has also expanded the support of the government reaction. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP), President Sharad Pawar, expressed solidarity of the armed forces and noted that every Indian had faith in the determination and victim of the army. “Our soldiers defend the sovereignty of the nation by taking the bullets on their chest,” he said.
The leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) aaditya Thackey appreciated this operation and emphasized the leading role that women play in military and civil servants. “Col. Sofiya Qureshi and the commander of the wing of Singh, along with the civil servant Vikram Misrim, showed the world accuracy and coordination of the reaction of India. Their efforts are supported across party lines – it is a rare and welcome moment of political unity against terror.”
In its statement issued by its politician’s office, the Communist Party of India called for diplomatic pressure to be mounted on Pakistan to issue those who are responsible for the panelgam attack. “Justice must not be delayed,” the statement read.
However, Maharashtra Navnirman’s boss offered Raj Thackey. He called the strikes “futile” and questioned their long -term usefulness. “The war is not a response to terrorism. What are we attacked?
Meanwhile, the families of the victims of the terrorist attack Pahalgam expressed cautious optimism and relief. Richa Mone, daughter of Atul Money, who was killed in an attack on April 22, said the operation meant the beginning of the change. “Even though we had a limited faith in the government event, we are glad to see something specific,” she said in a video report.
Her mother Anushka Money said that the family was informed about strikes in the early hours and reports of nine shooting terrorist camps gave them a sense of justice. “We know that our loved ones cannot return, but there is some peace when they know that the government has answered. We hope it continues until the terror is completely uprooted,” she said.
