Indigo will cancel flights on AZ 10 airports
Indigo Airlines canceled flights to AZ 10 airports within 10 May in accordance with the instructions of the Aviation Authorities.
In the paper on X, Indigo wrote: “In accordance with directives from the air offices regarding the closure of airports, we are in the process of abolishing all flights to AZ Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Gwalior, Kishangarh and Rajkot up to 0529 HRS.”
Previously, Air India reported that flights to the AZ of these nine airports were canceled until 12:00 on Wednesday, while two international flights via Amritsar were diverted to Delhi. The recent Indian Airlines Directive comes after the Sindoor operation, which took place during the early morning hours on Wednesday 7th May after a deadly terrorist attack of Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
Spicejet will cancel flights on and out of 6 airports
Meanwhile, Spicejet 7th May canceled flights to and out of six airports.
“Given the ongoing situation, our flights to AZ Sleba, Srinagar, Jammu, Kangra, Kandla and AMRITSAR are canceled on 7 May ’25, spicejet. The disabled passengers may decide to fully return or alternative years (according to availability),” Spicejet wrote on X.
Akasa Air cancels flights to and from Srinagar
In addition to Air India and Indigo, Akasa Air canceled flights to AZ Srinagar.
“Given the prevailing situation in the region, Srinagar Airport was closed for civic operations. As a result, our flights were canceled from and from Srinagar,” Akasa Air wrote on X.
