A week after the National Medical Commission (NMC) took cognizance of allegations that stipends credited to students at MNR Medical College and Hospital in Sangareddy are being partially recovered by the management using coercive means, post-graduate medical students have alleged that they were forced to sign declarations that the stipends are being paid as per norms, alleging that they were taken serious action and warned by the mobile department.
The statement, accessed by The Hindu, asked the students to confirm that they are receiving the scholarships regularly as per applicable rules, that there are no delays or irregularities in disbursement and that the undertaking is submitted voluntarily and without any external influence.
