Sigachi Industries revised the number of dead in terrible fire and explosion in its Pashamylaram production facility at 38 of 40, which he mentioned on Wednesday.
“The company confirmed that the deceased is 38, instead of a previously reported number of 40 team members,” the company said on Thursday in a statement. However, we failed to break up how many of those dead were full -time employees and how many contractual workers.
Referring to the injured team members, the company stated that 33 team members were injured and “12 were released, each of which was provided 1 Lakh as a temporary relief”.
It also quoted a statement on July 2. Sigachi team members are available in hospitals continuously to provide affected families with emotional and logistical support.
The company said that the investigation was underway on Monday’s incident of the main secretary of the state government. “The review and investigation of the accident and its basic causes,” they are carried out and preliminary findings are expected within seven days.
The company will refrain from commenting on the exact cause of the accident so that it does not get before the investigation. “So far, we are standing with our earlier statement that the accident was not caused by an explosion of the reactor,” Sigachi said.
