Main Minister Siddaramaiah raised his hand to the police officer during the constitution to save the institute, to save the nation on Monday in Belagavi is an unfortunate incident. It was not supposed to happen, said Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar on Tuesday in Belagavi.
She said to the question that Mr. Siddaramaiaha’s gesture was an impulsive action and did not reflect any generalized disrespect for officers.
“He could do it in the moment. I would say it is accidental and should not happen.
And Minister MB Patil on Tuesday told reporters in Vijayapore that he did not believe that the main minister’s gesture was to strike any officer. “I think it was supposed to point to the officer and direct him to control the stir,” he said.
