Congress MLC and Siddaramaiaha’s son Yathindra said his father was against giving him any ministerial berth as long as he was the main minister.
“My father made it clear that I wouldn’t get ministerial berths if he was the main minister,” Mr. Yathindra told reporters in Mysur on Friday.
“I don’t mind because I was made MLC and I got the opportunity to serve people,” he said.
Mr. Yathindra, who was in Mysur on Friday, traveled on the Varun election district represented by Mr. Siddarahaiaha and addressed public complaints.
Yathindra, who answered the question of drug threat in Mysur, said that Mr. Siddarahaiah also received complaints from the general public about the growing threat of drugs in Mysurus and issued instructions to the police.
The state police promised their best efforts, but the Mahashtra police acted faster after receiving a tip for the production of narcotic drugs in the city, Yathindra said.
The main minister issued a strict warning to the authorities, he added.
