Former Indian cricket Aakash Chopra appreciated SHUBMAN GILL for his remarkable series as a dough in the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy and left behind a Virat Kohli comparison. Gill took over as the captain of the test party and Kohli No. 4 instead of his retirement. Many of them were skeptical that he excelled in the role, but the Indian captain closed them fantastic during the English tour.
Gill scored 754 runs on average 75.4 in 10 shiftsSunil Gavascar and Sir Don Bradman’s record for most hundreds in the series in England. Chopra pointed out in a recent video on his YouTube channel that Gill told everyone that he was writing his own story on No. 4 with his performance.
“When you start launching on a new number and you know that this number belonged to the virat Kohli, it would be compared, he said,” I would let my own story write. “Chopra said.
The former cricket was in respect of Gill’s performances throughout the series, which saw him scored twice and centuries during the victory of Edgbaston.
“Forget the series, career ends without scoring 750 runs. He started from the first match by scoring one hundred in Headingley. Then he scored almost 450 runs in one match in Edgbaston. He won this match.
“Captain becomes easy if the score is running”
Chopra continued to say that Gill’s performance as a dough was essential for his leading role, because it would be difficult if he could not get with the bat.
“SHUBMAN GILL, the dough, must help SHUBMAN GILLU, the captain, because the captain would become easy if Gill scored runs. He said he would not only score but create history. He said he would break the records. Chopra said
Gill also made a statement when he came to the series with many runs outside India.
“His average from Asia was nothing. His average 29 from home was also nothing, and in two or three years he played three tests in England and also scored there. One Australian series was good, but then he barely did nothing.”
Gill will now return to the test arena in September, when West Indies comes to India for two matches.
