“SHUBMAN GILL was one of those crickets who prospered under the burden of responsibility that came with the party’s leadership,” said the director of the Gujarat Titans Vikram Solandki. In his second year as the champions captain of 2022, Gill appeared comfortably in the IPL 2025, both with bat and in his tactical decisions in the field.
The Gujarat Titans currently takes fourth place with 14 points Of only 10 games and are well placed to achieve the playoffs for the first time since 2023. Gill, who won an orange cap with 890 runs in 2023, managed only 426 runs in 12 matches last season. In IPL 2025, however, Gill accumulated 465 runs in 10 matches at a strike of 162 – the best in IPL.
