The 24 -year -old Indian opener is ready to lead the national team in Australia for its first starring role.“Gill will be fine. These two boys will help him on his way. He will grow at work,” Bishop PTI said.“Gill is nowhere near the finished article. People have to give him a chance to grow as a captain and as Batsman will also grow.”Bishop emphasized how Rohit and Kohli’s experience will be beneficial for gill in liability for pressure management and control.“He has a temperament and skill to lead, but the growth of the captain and tactics is something that will take several seasons to grow. I’m sure he gets help from both veterans,” he added.When the bishop asked about the potential participation of Rohit and Kohli at the World Cup 2027, he stressed that it would depend on their personal selection.“That’s their decision. I can’t answer it to Rohit or for a virat or for BCCI. It depends on their determination and skill. It has been fine so far,” he continued.India has shown its superiority by convincingly won the home test series against West Indies.Bishop noted the positive development in the Western India team, especially when performing from batting and bowling from several players, and added: “From the West Indian point of view, it was great to see how several doughs spend time to fold.“It’s not that they arrived, but they introduced some building blocks to the site.”
