
Captain Shaubman Gill continued his fertile run in England and became the first Asian captain to record a double hundreds of hundreds on English soil – and across hay (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) – during the Edgbaston test. The right -hander came to the series under considerable pressure and only dialed 25.7 in a hay with just two halves of his name. But the hour comes, the best version of Gill comes. The Indian captain caused his second century on the ongoing England and continued to record his first 150 plus score in the test cricket.

It is remarkable that Gill also became the first Indian batter in 23 years, when he published 150+ score after iconic 217 in the 2002 oval in 2002. Gill also broke Mohammed Azhaduddina for the highest individual test scores in England.

Gill also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record for Indian captain’s most runs in the series at the age of 25. With an undefeated 323 runs so far in the series, Gill passed the 1997 Tour of 1997 after Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja played on the 2nd day composed and impressive clicking and scoring 89 before only 11 runs than what could be his second century in Edgbaston. After he had already recorded a hundred, he would make him the first Indian, which registered several test centuries in Edgbaston.
