Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian astronaut to visited the International Space Station (ISS), after his 18 -day space mission looked at his recovery process.
In an online video, Shhukla shows how he takes assisted steps and later walks on a treadmill as part of his physical rehabilitation. “I got a lot of news about my health and I wish me a speedy recovery,” he wrote in the headline. “I want to thank you all and update.”
Shukla explained that the effects of cosmic travel noted that time in orbit affects the body in several ways – from redistribution of fluids and heart rate changes to a temporary loss of balance and muscle strength. “This is the adaptation of the new environment,” he said. “As soon as the body gets used to it and we return to gravity, these adjustments will happen again.”
He added that while recovery differs from man to man, the body reacts rapidly. “I was surprised when I watched the pace that our body could adapt to by new settings,” he said.
According to the Minister of Union Jitendry Singh, Shukla and his three crew members in the quarantine until July 23, according to standard mission procedures. The insulating period allows doctors to monitor their condition and help them check in to the ground gravity.
Experts note that widespread space stays can lead to weakened muscles, bone loss and coordination, which is rehabilitation necessary for a smooth return to everyday life.
Shukla’s Journey is considered a milestone for Indian ambitions of the universe. During the mission, he completed more than 310 Earth orbit and covered the distance of more than 13 million kilometers.
SHUBHANSHU SHUKLA mission to ISS
Shukla, along with three astronaut colleagues, returned safely to the ground with spraying from the coast of California at 5:31 in the morning of July 15. The mission meant a significant step for Axiom Space based in Texas, which aims to cooperate with nations around the world to make space available.
Last month, the crew launched in orbit aboard the Falcon 9 missile, which rose from the Kennedy Space Center NASA in Florida. Before they went back to the ground, they spent 18 days aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
