RCB all-rounder Shreyanka Patil was deeply touched as a devoted fan named his newborn daughter in her honor ahead of WPL 2026. In a heartwarming video, the fan revealed the little girl’s name during a small ceremony while holding a jersey with ‘Shreyanka 20’ printed on the back.
The gesture caught Shreyanka’s attention and she responded with genuine warmth, asking the fan to share her address so she could send a gift for the newborn.
Shreyanka took to social media and wrote, “Awwwww this is so cute! Please write your address so I can send something for little Shreyanka.”
The touching tribute became a joyous prelude to the upcoming WPL season, celebrating not only the sport but also the heartfelt connection it creates between players and their supporters.
SHREYANKA IS BACK
Shreyanka has been a key member of the RCB team for the past three seasons, constantly influencing matches with her clever offspin and useful lower-order batting. In 2024 WPL, she helped RCB to the title by finishing as the top wicket-taker with 13 wickets in eight matches and won the Purple Cap.

Her four-wicket haul in the final helped RCB beat Delhi Capitals to clinch the premiership at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Unfortunately, Shreyanka missed the entire 2025 WPL season due to a shin injury and Sneh Rana was brought in as her replacement for RCB. However, her journey back to competitive cricket has been inspirational.
After rehabilitation, she returned to action in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League with the Barbados Royals and contributed to their 2025 campaign.
Despite the injury setback, RCB have shown faith in his talent by retaining him ahead of the WPL 2026 auction. He is expected to be in action when RCB take on two-time champions Mumbai Indians on January 9 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, again bringing experience and match-winning ability.
