Former Indian bag Parthiv Patel said that while the injury of Rishabh Pant during Manchester’s test is unfortunate, there is nothing wrong with the ICC rule that prevents alternates of the goal in the launch. If Dhruv Jurel replaces his pants in the fourth test, he will be allowed to keep the goals but will not be allowed to bat.
According to section 24.1.2 ICC playing conditions “The replacement must not mix (or bat) or act as a captain, but can act as a goal only with the consent of the referees.” Since 2017, MCC has allowed spare goals in case of actual injury or illness if the referee approves it in the field. ”
“I’m fine with the rule”
Patel, who played 25 tests in his career from 2002 to 2018, said that because the teams often try to exploit the substitute rule of shocks, the ICC Regulation on Wicketkeeper is real.
“You see, there are already several gray areas that teams are trying to use. As in the T20 cricket, we have seen how the shock rule is ever used. So in the ongoing game, if someone hurts, what do you do?” Expert on Jiohotstar, Parthiv Patel told India when answering today’s question.
“I think it’s just fair. At least now the rule has changed so that the goal can be replaced by other goals. It wasn’t allowed before – someone else of the team would have to keep the goals.”
“But I’m fine with the rule. It’s unfortunate that Rishabh has hit, but that’s what it is. What can you do about it? Parthiv added.”
1st day, Pant suffered a painful wound at his tip While trying to play a reverse hill by Chris Woakes. After being hit, he jerked in pain and got treatment. But he couldn’t recover and had to be taken from the ground. He was later kidnapped in an ambulance. The hinge fired to 37 out of 48 balls with two four and one six.
After the daily game, BCCi issued a statement that Pant was under the observation of the Indian team medical staff.
