
Shopping shops on a new modern Kalor market established by the Cochin Development Office (GCDA) will soon begin.
Of the total of 82 stores, 15 will be assigned to traders who operated before the market reconstruction, while 27 will be reserved for rehabilitation of merchants from the old market near Junction Deshabhimani.

GCDA is also developing a waste treatment plant on the market. The wastewater treatment plant will have the ability to clean 50 kiloliters of waste water daily. There is also a fixed waste treatment plant on the anvil. The equipment will be established using the latest technology and eliminate any inconvenience for the inhabitants in the neighborhood. As long as the plant becomes functional, waste from the market will be transported to the waste processing facility in Brahmapuram, according to the release of GCDA.
The market was also set up a rain water collection system, firefighting equipment, service lifts, water fire tank, toilets, electric rooms and extensive drainage infrastructure.
