The shooting incident in Northern Ireland resulted in the death of two individuals and injured two more, reported AP on Wednesday and quoted the police.
The Northern Ireland Police Service said there was no current danger to the public from Maguiresbridge, which is located southwest of Belfast. Meanwhile, there is no clarity of the motive for the incident. However, Jemma Dolan, representing the local area in the Assembly of Northern Ireland, described it in the social media’s contribution as a “domestic incident”.
Police and rescuers arrived at the address of the village after 8:00 (0700 GMT) on Wednesday morning. The injured victims were treated in two hospitals because of serious injuries, the report quoted an ambulance.
Deborah Erskine, a colleague of the local legislator, noted that the community was “amazed” by shooting in a “country, quiet area”.
“Everyone is deeply influenced by what happened this morning,” the press agency quoted it. “My deepest condolences are with the families of those who have been killed as a result of this incident. Their lives turned upside down this morning,” she added.
Shooting in South Africa
Last week, a similar incident was reported in South Africa, where the police were looking for attackers who attacked the bar in the Cerno district outside the capital, killed five customers and injured three others.
Attack around 22:30 (2030 GMT) on Friday is the last mass shooting in a country with a crime that sees on average more than 75 murders, and informed.
Approximately 10 shooters attacked the pub in Olievenhoutbosch, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) south of Pretoria, and started shooting accidentally without saying the word, the report quoted the police.
“The shooting motif is not unknown at this stage,” the police said in a statement.
Shooting incidents are common in South Africa, often driven by the violence of gangs and alcohol consumption.
Many individuals have licensed firearms for personal security, but the number of illegal weapons in circulation is much higher.
