The countdown to the appointment of the first Chief Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) v Bihar began on Sunday (April 12, 2026) after the party appointed Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the central observer to oversee the elections for the post of BJP legislature party chief in Bihar.
Mr. Chouhan told reporters in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh that he will go to Bihar on April 14. “I am just a party worker and as a worker it is my duty to carry out any task assigned to me with complete honesty and sincerity. Whatever responsibility the party gives me, I fulfill it,” he said.
