Deputy Minister and Minister of Development Bengaluru DK Shivakumar said on Tuesday that 13,000 potholes have been filled all over the city, which has been recorded for each. He invited the media to verify the claims during his inspection of urban work.
“Officials adhere to government orders and perform work with potholes. I have guided that an action plan worth £ 1,100 is ready to develop 550 km of main roads,” Shivakumar told reporters after reviewing work.
He said that the laying of concrete at the intersections of the main roads would take about 26 days and discussions on traffic management during the period. “I try to provide a permanent solution for Bengalur. The main minister was also assured by the Crore 750 GBP to fill Polo,” he added.
Regarding the development of the department level, Mr. Shivakumar announced that 1,100 GBP Crore will be released into the MLA specifically to improve roads in its constituencies.
When the Minister turned to suffering from waste management in the city, he admitted that the problem persists. “When I went to the congress office today, I saw someone threw the Jayamahal Road truck overnight. He ordered officials to trace the culprit through CCTV cameras, registered a case and confiscated the vehicle,” he said.
When the reporters asked about the reports of the overload for Bengalur, Mr. Shivakumar refused them. “It’s false. Some industrialists may have suggested it to the Union’s government, but no such proposal is ahead of us,” he explained.
