Shiv Sena chief condemns petty attack, Union minister assures support

Telangana Shiv Sena president Sinkar Shivaji said state AYUSH Minister (Independent Representative) Pratap Rao Jadhav had provided support and medical assistance to the minor after being informed about the incident. In a statement, Mr. Shivaji, who along with party general secretary G. Sudhakar visited NIMS Hospital on Saturday to meet the victim and her family, condemned the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old minor girl in Khammam district and criticized what he described as the delay in bringing the matter to light.

Mr. Shivaji said he brought the matter to the attention of the Union Minister after the incident. Mr. Jadhav reportedly spoke to the victim’s parents through video call, sought details about the case and urged them to remain courageous. He assured the family that justice would be served.

The Union minister also said he would speak to the authorities at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad to facilitate better medical care for the minor, who is currently undergoing treatment.
