Shining Stars Awards felicitate toppers in Alluri, Anakapalli district

The School Education Department on Monday felicitated deserving students who excelled in the 2026 SSC and Intermediate Public Examinations at separate Shining Stars-2026 award ceremonies held in Alluri Sitarama Raju and Anakapalli districts.

In ASR district, the program was held at SR Sankaran Auditorium at Kummariputtu, Paderu. Joint Collector Tirumani Sri Pooja inaugurated the event along with former Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari and other officials. Addressing the students, Mrs. Sri Pooja said that the key to success is sustained hard work, determination and proper planning, while the speakers urged the students to remain consistent, make alternative career plans and seize new opportunities.

Students from several mandals including Paderu, Araku Valley, Chintapalli, GK Veedhi, Pedabayalu, Ananthagiri, Dumbriguda, G. Madugula, Koyyuru and Munchingiputtu were felicitated for securing top positions.

In Anakapalli, the awards were presented at the Pentakota Convention Hall in the presence of District In-Charge Minister Kollu Ravindra, Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, Collector Vijayi Krishnan and legislators.

Mr. Ravindra said the State Government has earmarked ₹8.5 crore for cash incentives and awards for meritorious SSC and Intermediate students in Andhra Pradesh. He said 154 SSC students and 34 intermediate students from Anakapalli district were selected for the award, with girls making up the majority in both categories.

The awardees received a gold medal, a certificate and a financial incentive of ₹20,000. Speakers also urged parents and teachers to continue to support students as they pursue college and career goals.
