
Shimla in Himachal Pradesh can be home to the longest Asian project Ropeway called Tara Devi-Shimla Ropeway Project. The project allegedly covers 13.79 kilometers and may cost £1 734.40 crore.
It will also be the second largest in the world after the world in Bolivia runs approximately 32 kilometers.
According to NDTV, the project Tara Devi-Shiml Ropeway has already begun and is carried out by Ropeway and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation, as part of the model of public and private partnerships (PPP) with the government of Himacal Pradesh.
Eighty percent of the project will be provided a new development bank. The bank reportedly approved preliminary offers for the project and the initial processes were completed.
Route, boarding station and other details
Ropeway will run between Maa Tara Devi and Sanjauli, NDTV reported. It covers an area of approximately 60 kilometers and connects 15 key stations across Shimla and close areas.
About 2,000 people will be able to travel from both directions every hour. It will include 660 cabins, each with a load capacity of 8-10 passengers. The cabins arrive at the stations every two to three minutes.

Old buses rack, stations in the on -board area near the elevator, Lakkar Bazaar, IgMC hospital, Navbahar, Secretariat and Sanjauli.
The project is expected to revolutionize the Shimly transport system by offering a modern ecological alternative that will improve connectivity, improve air quality and strengthen tourism.
