
The cultural villages of Shilparamam resonated with music and dance on Tuesday evening when artists from all over India joined the stage for the Lok Kala Yatra dance festival. The event combined a number of regional folk traditions and offered to look at the audience into the cultural diversity of the country.
Telangana Rajitha set the tone with a living performance of Kolaatam, a traditional group dance. From Maharashtra, Ravindra Laxman Bhoy and his ensemble introduced Songi Mukhavate, while Chhattisgarh’s Anil Kumar Garhewal excited gathering with Ghedi Nrutya. Jammu’s Nishu Pandith introduced Dongri Nrutya and Pandjab’s Arashpreet Singh and his group added color and strength with their lively Bhangra.
The festival is organized along with the celebrations of Shilparamam’s Navratri, Bathhukamm and Dasar and Sarees of India Mela, which will continue until October 5. The exhibition is open to visitors from 10:30 to 17:30
