In an apparent reference to the alleged assault case involving recently fired University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore, a 911 dispatcher revealed that the caller reported that the man had been “stalking her for months,” according to a People magazine report.
The outlet obtained a recording in which a dispatcher said the caller reported that she was “assaulted by a male at a location in the home” and that he had been “stalking her for months.”
Although there is no mention of Moore on the tape, the timing of the interview – 4:14 pm on Wednesday, December 10 (local time) is just before Moore was detained by police. The dispatcher’s recording captures the address at which, according to the report, the incident of the 39-year-old ex-trainer also took place.
Kicked out of the University of Michigan
This incident occurred after Moore was fired as the football coach at the University of Michigan. The agency said it found “credible evidence” that Moore was “in an inappropriate relationship with an employee.”
On December 10, ESPN reported that the City of Saline Police Department detained Moore in Saline, Michigan and “turned him over to the Pittsfield Township Police Department for investigation.” The arrest came after a report of an “alleged assault,” the police publication said, but did not mention Moore by name.
Moore embroiled in affair with executive assistant: Report
According to a New York Post report, Moore had an affair with his executive assistant.
After being fired from his position, the former head coach was “suicidal” and allegedly went home to his assistant Paige Shiver with a knife in hand.
Moore was later arrested and sent to prison. He will appear in court later on Friday (local time).
The report also reveals that the University of Michigan paid Shiver an unusually high 55% raise last year while she worked under Moore.
Moore had a $30 million contract with the University of Michigan, but because he was fired “with cause,” the university is now under no obligation to pay the remaining $14.5 million to $16 million, the report said.
