
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visits Egypt on Monday to participate in the Sharm El-Sheikh peace summit. He will also participate in a ceremonial signature of a peace agreement aimed at ending the war in Gaza.
Summit “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace” hosts Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi. At the summit, the world leaders will discuss ways to bring permanent peace to the war gaza and the wider Middle East.

The “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace” summit will be co-chaired by Al-Sisi and US President Donald Trump. Almost 20 other world leaders will participate.
While Shehbaz Sharif comes from Pakistan to participate in the summit, Foreign Minister for the external affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh represents India at a decisive meeting.
Sources told PTI that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was invited to the summit. The new Delhi, however, followed Singha to participate in the summit.

Who else will participate in the Egypt Summit?
The leaders participating in the summit include British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, French President Emmanuel Macron and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
“The summit will be co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and US President Donald Trump with the participation of leaders from more than 20 countries,” Egypt said deducted.

Will Israel not PM, Hamas won’t participate in the Egyptian summit?
Several news claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will participate in the event at the moment.

Israeli truce in Gaza
Summit takes place after the first phase of the President Trump’s Peace Plan of Gaza entered into force on Friday. Hamas is expected to release about 20 live hostages on Monday morning.
Israel launched a war in Gaza after Hamas attacked Israeli cities on October 7, 2023, killing about 1200 people. Hamas also took 251 people as a hostage, and more than 50 of them are still in captivity.
Since then, Israeli military operation has killed over 66,000 Palestinians according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Gaza was rolled under a massive humanitarian crisis mainly due to lack of food and drugs. Last month, the World Health Organization said that the malnutrition in Gaza had achieved “alarming levels”.
