
Former Minister Maharashtra and MLC Shashikant Shinde were elected new president of the state nationalist congress party (NCP) (SP) (SP), replacing Jayant Patil.
The appointment of Shashikant Shinde was announced by President NCP (SP) Sharad Parwar on the Party’s General Body in Mumbai in Mahari, NCP spokesman (SP) Clyde Crasto said PTI.
His name was designed by former Minister Anil Deshmukh and sent the Shirur MP Amol Kolhe and former Mla Sunil Bhusar.
Clyde Crasto also said that Sharad Parwar took the microphone and said he had received one name as a candidate for a post.
Pawar asked the leaders of NCP (SP) if any of them wanted to attack, and when no one came, Shashikant Shinde was declared a unanimous choice, Crasto said.
Jayant Patil, who dealt with a meeting, held the NCP state unit for seven years, thanked Sharad Pawar for giving him the opportunity and talking about the party’s work during his tenure. He said he would continue to work for the party.
