
The sudden retirement of Virt Kohli from the test cricket left fans and admirers in shock – and between them is a politician and cricket enthusiast Shashi Tharoor. He responded to this announcement and shared Tharoor sincere that Kohli “immortal” and expressing sadness at the sudden end of his red ball.
Through his social media account, Tharoor remembered the only time he met Kohli at the beginning of his career. He said it was already clear that the young dough was on the way to become one of the giants of the game. Tharoor appreciated Kohli’s overall cricket path, but admitted that he most admired him in the test format. Tharoor looked disappointed the timing of the decision. He expressed regret that Kohli did not receive a farewell test at home and questioned whether a 36 -year -old man called time too soon, especially when Indian fans of cricket and the team still needed him.

Kohli made his debut in 2011 and played his final match at the beginning of this year against Australia at SCG. He is retiring with 9 230 runs in 123 matches on average 46.85, of which 30 centuries and seven double hundreds – Indian record. The most successful Indian test captain also remains and led the team to 40 victories in 68 matches.
Kohli’s announcement came only five days after Rohit Sharma also withdrew from the red ball formatMarking the end of the era in the Indian cricket. This step comes just a few weeks before India launches its new cycle of the World Championship in England 20 June. According to reports, Kohl has already informed BCCi about his plans and the scenes were made efforts to persuade him to continue, especially for an English tour.
