Delegation of Indian Members with multiple parties had an “extremely rewarding” day when he met the US Congressors and Senators on the Capitol hill, which informed them about Sindoor’s operation and Indian struggle against terrorism, said SHAROOR.
“Spending the day on the Capitol hill was extremely beneficial because we were able to meet many congressmen, senators,” Tharoor told the national press club on Wednesday.
The delegation, which arrived from India 24 May, traveled to Guyana, Panama, Colombia and Brazil before visiting Washington on the last stage of the tour.
“Generally, what we are trying to explain in every country is to explain our version of events, our experience in the last few weeks, to look for solidarity and understanding to those we meet. And I am very pleased that our launch average is over 100,” Mr. Tharoor said.
He said that any person who had encountered the delegation had not only encountered a terrorist attack on India, expressed her outrage and compassion, but also explicitly approved the Indian right to defend against terrorism.
“This kind of understanding was very welcome,” he said, adding that “we left the hill very pleased with the quality of interviews, the level of interest”.
“There is a huge interest in strengthening relations with India across the album in every country and on the hill. It’s not just a question of positioning with us against terror. They are also thinking positively about cooperation in economic development, trade, investment.”
Later, who focused on a press conference at the Indian Embassy, Mr. Tharoor said that at a delegation meeting with US lawmakers and congressmen at Capitol Hill, “we did not have a single skeptical or negative voice”.
“What we got was a very, very positive answer,” he said. “We had a very good session.”
He said that two key lines he would use were complete support and solidarity for India in her struggle against terrorism and complete understanding of India’s right to defend against terrorism. In both points “very, very clear”.
The delegation met with the co -chairmen of the India Bipartisans in the House of Representatives, Congressors RO Khanna and Rich McCormick and co -chairmen of Congressman Andy Barr and Marc Veasey.
The parliamentary delegation reported members of the Caucasus “about cross -border terrorism facing India and India is a strong and determined attitude in the fight against terror”.
“Congressmen expressed unambiguous and Bipartisan convictions for a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. They expressed support to Indian law to respond to terrorism in the spirit of zero tolerance against terrorism.
The team organized a “sincere and fruitful exchange” with the management of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, including the deputy chairman of Brian Masta, representatives of Gregory Meeks, South and Central Asia Chairman Bill Huiznga, the ranking of Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Member of Member and East Asia and Pacific.
“The parliamentary delegation reported members of the Committee on the success of the Sindoor operation to define a new normal struggle in India against cross -border terrorism. The leadership of the committee clearly condemned the attack of hit.
The answer to the question of the Minister of Commerce Howard Lutnice has recently stated that there are certain things that the Indian government has done, which generally destroyed the United States incorrect, such as buying its military equipment from Russia, that there was a “constant change” of the pattern on some weapons suppliers.
He said India still needed a lot of Russian spare parts, but “it will descend a lot from the peak”, which added that compared to comparison, 81% of Pakistani weapon systems and imports from China were.
“We do not have such a kind of addiction. We have diversified, we have American weapons, we are on the market very on the market, whether the Americans are ready to discuss and sell us, we certainly hope to move forward,” he said.
Tejasvi’s delegation member answered a similar question during the press briefing at the Indian embassy and stated that the problem had appeared in several discussions that the delegation had.
“However, we made it clear to the Americans that, unlike Pakistan, whose most armament and military hardware – 81% come from China, Indian military hardware not only grows but is also very diverse,” Surya said, adding that India had bought military hardware from the United States, France and Israel.
