Congress President Andhra Pradesh (APCC) Ys Sharmila claimed on Friday (April 4, 2025) that Main Minister N. Chandrababa Naida and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in cooperation with BJP.
Mrs. Sharmila, who focuses on the media, said that the full storage capacity of the project was reduced from 45 meters to 41 meters, which reduced what was designed as a rescue rope of Andhra Pradesh for fire.
She said that nothing was said about the advantages of the project construction at a height of 41.15 meters and demanded that the government to release a white book on it.
She said that the government’s website on the project showed its height as 41.15 meters, yet the deputies were silent on this matter. Mrs. Sharmila, who called it a conspiracy BJP against Andr Pradesh, said “Babu-Jagan-Pawan” was part of the plot.
She said Polavram was the dream of former main Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, who gained all the rights and started working. After the project started, the costs of 10 151 crore were estimated. Its capacity was set to 194 TMC FT and height to 45.7 meters. She said that 33% of the works were completed during the YSR time, after which neglect was left.
In 2014, the government of Congress acknowledged Polavar as a national project. In 2019, the TDP government with Mr. Naida in Helm completed only 17% of the works and added that the project costs increased by 50,000 GBP Crore. According to Mr. Jagan’s government, only 3% of the works were completed, she said.
As part of the BJP conspiracy, which claimed that the government came to accept the government clean and provoke the facts and trigger relief and rehabilitation package.
