The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) Supremo Sharad Pawar on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) inserted brakes about the possible merger between two NCP fractions in Mahari and said that its party would not be in line with anyone who connected with BJP hands.

“We will not connect with those who have teamed up with BJP. We can only be with people who believe in Gandhi’s ideology, shah, phuule and ambedcar,” said former chief minister and addressed parties in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune district.
His statement comes in the middle of growing NCP-SP speculation and meeting the NCP Synophea Ajita Pawware before the upcoming local public opinion surveys in the state. Mr. Pawar and Ajit Pawar were seen when they shared the stage several times and drove rumors.
Without the name of Mr. Ajit Pawar, he said, “I don’t want to encourage opportunism policy.” Those who work with BJP cannot have a NCP process, he said.
Mr. Ajit Pawar, along with several leaders, joined the government led by the BJP in the Mahari and caused the division in NCP in July 2023. In the elections of Lok Sabha, which took place in June 2024, NCP-SP was in the race in the race.
