SFI sweeps Kerala University Union elections, wins 35 out of 37 seats

The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) retained control of Kerala University with a landslide victory in the union elections, winning 35 of the total 37 general seats.

SFI candidate Shiva S. from Kollam was elected as the new union president.

The Kerala Students’ Union (KSU) managed to win only two seats in the elections. SFÚ got two of the three positions of vice-presidents and KSU one. A total of 180 university union councilors, elected from various universities under the university, took part in the voting process.
