The State Leaders of the Student Federation of India (SFI) condemned the act of gross strength used by the police to students who participated in the protest in Vijayawada.
The State Secretary of the Federation K. Prasann Kumar, who addressed a press conference on Sunday, said they were forced to resort to the “Khalo Vijayawad” on Saturday because the government did not respond to their series at the level of Mandal and District. He said that a single question of students was not resolved in more than the year -round rule of the coalition government led by TDP in the state.
He said that the ignoring of their requests looking for the audience with the Minister of Hrda Loket, the police used Latchis for students, even saving girls students. He claimed that a student named Kavya suffered a fracture in her hand in a police attack and fainted three more.
Mr. Prasanna Kumar also demanded the abolition of GO, which imposed a ban on the entry of student trade unions in schools and universities. It called a gross violation of students’ fundamental rights and demanded that Go be downloaded immediately.
State President of the Federation P. Rammohan said it was unfortunate that the police were focused only on student trade unions in protest. “We only require TDP promises and its allies at the time of the elections,” he said.
