Police Pahalgam torn the teacher from Vadakara, who was charged with a sexual attack by a smaller girl during an excursion to Jammu and Kashmir in 2023.
The defendant, UT Ashraf, was taken on Tuesday (May 13, 2025) into custody from his house in Iringal near Vadakary after the Perembra was transferred to the Pahalgam station.
The 45-year-old has already been booked according to sections 354 and (1) (sexual harassment) and 354 and (2) (outrage of the modesty of the woman) of the Indian Criminal Code and Section 7 (sexual assault) of the Act on the Protection of Children from Sexual Crimes. They would add to be made at the Anantnag District Court in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources said the alleged incident occurred when a thirteen -year -old girl attended a campfire on a tour of May 1, 2023. The case was registered after the girls’ parents proceeded to the local police for investigation. They were also present during a study tour as employees.
