
The court in Chennai condemned Gnanasecaran, convicted in the case of sexual assault in Anna University, on Monday for life imprisonment. Judge M Rajalakshmi said that the accused must remain in prison for at least 30 years without forgiveness, the PTI press agency reported.
On May 28, the court Mahil in Chennai declared Gnanasecaran guilty of sexual assault by a student in Anna University, while the prosecution sought for “maximum punishment”.
The court imposed sentences for every 11 accusations proven by prosecution against it. The sentences take place in parallel, the judge of the court Mahaila Rajalakshma added that she said the report.

The judge, while condemning Gnanasecaran, said he was looking for a lenient punishment that claimed to be the only winner of the family of bread and protested against him and was looking for maximum punishment.
However, Gnanasecaran’s consultant stated that they would appeal to the court’s prison. According to the PTI BR Jayaprakash Narayanan report, “… we will appeal this penalty for 30 years. We will refer to the acceptance of judgment documents and valid documents.”

The court in Mahila framed the accusation against Gnanasecaran in various parts of BNS, including sexual harassment, BNSS, IT Act and Tamil over the prevention of women’s harassment law.
